Also.... so far as I know, the Red Hunters of this period had a 'big bore' tap without a reserve tap. The Red Hunters also had flexible pipes rather than solid copper.

I always spend on the magneto, worth every penny in the long run. When it's been sorted it should be good for many worry free miles and give you easy starting. (ditto the carb)

Mine is at 6 volts as I don't ride often at night and the 6v LED bulbs are extremely bright and good for day riding.
