My PM service seems very klunky, messages I send spend there time in the outbox! Also, I have not received your message either.
Messages showing in your outbox haven't been read by the recipient. Once showing as sent, then theoretically, they have been read. As far as I can tell.

Re: Magazines

One thing which we have in the AOMCC Archives, and which I don't believe has seen any use, is a comprehensive collection of all the adverts placed in The Motor Cycle and Motor Cycling during the 1950s and 1960s. I think they were the Factory Marketing Department's records. Would that we had such a ...

Magazines

Hi all. My mother died a few months ago, and as I clear out her house, much of the stuff (mine) that's in there has to go. As is usual for many of us, I have acquired over the years many magazines. I like to keep some for reference, and especially the pre-war ones, but I also have quite a few from t...

Re: Bike history

Re: Bike history

Just looking back through my own posts, Roger had already identified the gearbox number, and subsequently the date, last year - DOH :? My memory must be worse than I thought! The only difference is that last year I knew less info about the details. Now having rebuilt the primary, which has the extra...

Re: Bike history

Thanks Paul, but I don't have the original frame number, and your comment about the individual gearbox numbers pretty much settles the matter. Unless I got the frame X-rayed! Thanks anyway chaps. At least I'm now pretty sure what year the bike is, I had guessed at '47/48, so nice that it's even slig...

Hi all, I'm just fixing an oil leak that appears to be coming from the soldered joint on the head feed, and decided that whilst I was doing that I would perform an oil change. I also decided that removing the oil tank to give it a good flush, would perhaps allow me to tackle a few dents it exhibits ...
