Re: c '37 horn button

Hi Brenton, Your horn button is period but should be the type shown. Repros are available. Here are some other detail shots from our 37 RH500. I think they are mostly correct but stand to be corrected. The magneto shot shows the high tension lead coming out next to the cylinder. It should be at the ...

Lycett vs Lycetts

Would anyone know why some motorcycle saddles/pillions have the Lycetts vs the Lycett badge? Lycetts Badge.jpg Lycett Badge_1.jpg I did find the reference shown below to Lycetts in the 1947 Ariel Parts Book. I notice the reference to Lycett in pre-war Ariel Parts books. Was the Lycetts moniker perha...

Re: Wanted: SQ4 1939 600f ohv side stand

Hi Phil, Here is the Ariel drawing for the leg. I have included photos of a NOS side stand. The bolt thread is 9/16 x 20. The spacer, which fits between the engine plates of my RH500, is 2" long. I can give dimensions of the forged mount if you need them. I made up both the spacer and bolt. The...
