Hello Gui, From the videos, the pressure increases to 'reasonable' levels as you rev the engine. I wonder what engine speed corresponds to the better readings. I have often read (not specifically about Square Fours, mind,) that an oil pressure equating to 10 psi per thousand rpm when running is cons...

Out of interest, Cam, how do you plate the centre bore of the pinion, but not the rest of it?

I think I would go for the tightest fit achievable, so that the proper pinion fitting pusher is just capable of fitting the gear. If the plating depth is too great, fine emery cloth would reduce it.
