Kick start return spring fitting
Hi, NH 350cc 1955. I am nearing the end of rebuilding the GB gearbox fitted to the above machine, all in good condition, just wanted a new bearing to the main shaft at the kick start mechanism end. I am now at the point of fitting the kick start return spring, knowing that the inner spring anchor, t...

Re: Sprocket to rear wheel and "Halite" washers
I have checked the back face and it measures parallel with the front face I therefore assume that on some wheels the back cast surface has been machined flat. As you stated the back face must have originally had a draw/draft angle (taper) to withdraw the casting from the mold.

Thanks for your help and advice, regarding the fitting of the sprocket, on final assembly I will fit in both conditions and see how it aligns with the gearbox sprocket. Thanks again.

There is a chamfer (cone) on the recessed side indicating that it is the recessed side that fits next to the wheel, is this correct. What is the purpose o...

Re: Front wheel bearing, near side.
Nev and Roy, thank you both for your advice, I have purchased a new wheel spindle and bearing (sealed) from Draganfly. The fit between spindle and bearing is a "light push fit" , obviously for wheel removal, this I believe may eventually lead to the same problem of slippage, also bearing i...

Front wheel bearing, near side.
Model NH 1955, has anyone got advice on how to stop slippage between the front wheel spindle and the inner race of the near side wheel bearing. It would appear that it relies totally on friction to avoid slippage, on strip down a groove had been worn into the spindle negating the bearing from workin...
