There is no specific instruction to use a sealant for the Otto gasket, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to use some high temperature RTV around the pushrod tunnels to assist in preventing leaks.

I’m running WR7BC on my 1948 4G. Bike runs perfectly when hot but misfires cold, which I need to get to the bottom of, I think it is carburation, never considered plug temperature setting, is it worth going up to an 8 or 9?

I don’t use NGK plugs for exactly that reason, having had several issues with the plugs over the years, mostly due to the difficulty in finding genuine plugs!

I’ve used Bosch plugs for a long time now and had no issues.
