Try speaking to Paul Jameson, he recently refurbished a speedo which had been buried for 50 years. Pm me for contact details or they are on page 2 of cheval de fer (if you are a member) club archivist.

Re: Burman GB gearbox

From memory I think it only takes about a pint, so I'd buy 2 bottles just to be sure.

I use a similar product made by Morris on my vh, which seems fine so far, biggest issue seems to be keeping it inside the gearbox not on the garage floor!

Re: removing and inserting valve guides - advice appreciated

I always heat the head in the oven before removing a guide, then freeze the new guide and it should go in a treat.

For gods sake WAIT until the wife goes out before attempting this!

Hydraulic Full Width Front Brake

Hi, I have one of the aforementioned brakes, which I believe Lew Walwork make a few of some years ago. Craven panniers

Hi,

I don't suppose any one has a set of craven comet panniers (prefer with fittings)
Available? The bloke at Stafford yesterday seemed to be wearing a black and white striped jumper and was carrying a hessian sack marked 'swag', so I walked away!

Cheers

Oh, and a throttle ferrule, but I saw it drop and bravely leapt in front of a lorry to retrieve!

Hi All, Thanks for the help. Pete Kemp sold out at the annual rally, and I have found it very hard to find one, however, I went down to visit my Dad at the weekend, took the box with me. As it turned out there was a man called Jeff and his wife over for dinner (glos branch?) - surname and wife's nam...

It would appear so. If no one has one, can anyone recommend someone to repair the thread for the lifter mechanism in the midlands area?
