Re: wanted: 2" Smiths clock or repro

Do a search for 2" cricklewood or smiths clocks. One could easily make up a good repo from something like this listing. Enquire about correct diameter and depth as these were available as 2 or 3" diameter. Chrome bezel and hands can easily be found on e-bay. Check diameter on these two. Ma...

Re: WNG long twistgrip

Hi Simon, The brass part was on the shorter twist grip I had. I just pressed it off. John Nash posted a photo showing a brass cable holder on what appears to be a W/NG throttle. Re: WNG long twistgrip

Hi Luis, I would make the part over length by an inch or so and press the brass cable holder on. I would then check the inner depth of the canvas or rubber grip you will be installing. This should give you a pretty accurate length. Find out what is the standard, stock length for the long twist grip ...

Re: WNG long twistgrip

Hi Luis. You will have to get dimensions from one of the W/NG guys. The one I made was for a civilian Ariel having 1" handlebars. I did have to enlarge the inner diameter slightly and machine the outer to match the original. Make it a bit on the longer side. It will be easy to cut to proper len...

Re: WNG long twistgrip

Why don't you make one? I purchased a stock piece of aluminum seamless pipe on e-bay and machined to size. The brass part is pressed on, as the original.

Re: Adding an additional clutch plate

Here is a photo of a late sq. four clutch basket c/w extra friction lining and hub (ignore top hub in photo). I'm away from home so no other photos available at this time.
