Hi Brian, thanks for the offer, I see there are a few places advertising them but they too are out of stock. If I cant get a fellow VMCC member to make one soon I will have to wait for one of yours as Ive had the bike a while and the insurance company are chasing me to settle the repair.

fuel tap help needed

Im working on a Velocette Vogue for a friend, nearly all set to go back and it springs a leak from the fuel tap, my guess is it hasn't had fuel in for a couple of years so corks have dried out. the problem is the plunger can be taken apart to change the corks , Ive enclosed a picture of the plunger ...

I know I had the opportunity to look at 5 or 6 sets of cases a couple of years ago and remember seeing one with grub screws in, pity they aren't there any more or ~I could check engine number, admittedly the two motors Ive rebuilt last year didn't have any, but do remember and wondered why

just seen this 1958 HS500 for sale on the back of a van at Farleigh Castle VMXdN today. phone number on front number plate, Ive seen it ridden in the paddock so runs, cant tell you the price but if near the cicuit tomorrow and interested it cost me £25 for a weekend pass. :cry:

make sure points are back correct, there is usually an insulating washer which stops one of the points earthing out, if it earths out it will stop the spark!
