Same sentiment as Colin Peck, if you are a maker and doer you will wonder how you could live without one, get as larger lathe as you can, screw cutting if possible and a vertical table for simple milling operations.

Which kit do you have?

Has anyone experience of using any of the kits available, with good prep can you achieve an acceptable finish and are they value for the amount plating you can get done?

Just had the same issue, after lots of checking parts I found the spring behind the plunger had fractured.
