Alloy Barrels 500/350

I posted recently regarding production of the Ariel 350/500 alloy barrels. I had a call last week from Jason of MD patterns in Elsecar, South Yorkshire to advise me that the price of a finished barrel, lined and ready for final boring, is £500 plus a bit for postage. You can contact Jason on 0797034...

Re: Front brake hydraulic TLS conversion

The top one looks like one of Lew Wallwork's conversions. I've got one with a number scribed, but I can't remember the number. He did make a few of these before the twin Leading shoe conversions became widely available.

Re: For Sale Rare 1970s AOMCC Mug by Patrick Sargent

Vincent, that/they were made by Frank Berry, a well known potter, and long time AOMCC member, from Tonbridge, Kent, UK. You have probably met him at one or other Dutch Rallies. He made a lot of pots and pottery for various branch awards and rallies. I have a good selection of his Ariel stuff, but if...

Re: Alloy Barrels

This rang some bells for me. 12 or 13 years ago I went to collect an alloy barrel for one of the German members, Klaus Gerhard. I was working in Barnsley and the supplier was in Elsecar, just down the road. I was in Barnsley today and called in to the pattern makers, who supplied the barrel, on the ...

Re: Upper fork bushes. Urgent.

Morning Pete, I have a full set of new Drags bushes and oil seals that I'll probably not need in the near future. The tops are just on 2 inches long. Not got the bill but I think they cost about £55 with post, so if they're any use let me know.I can send you a picture if you like

Re: Rear sprocket

Hi Richard, there's an article by Vincent van Ginneke on re-toothing your current sprocket to take a standard flat sprocket.I have this done on my '57 Huntmaster. Put the phrase re-toothing 1956 sprocket in the search box at the tiop of the page
