Fitted the steering lock to my 56 Huntmaster all work,s well .I have a spare key with me just in case i loose one !

Safer with arm up. Have used both types .If using under arm with cable have plenty of slack in the cable .

Had this happen a few years ago on a 54 sq4 riding along in forth gear then suddenly no gear, like neutral . Pulled over , Nothing visibly wrong so carried on home with 3 gears . When I stripped the gearbox there was no circlip to retain the main drive bearing .Also not much left of the gearbox case...

I used a press to change mine although a good strong vice would work with an extra pair of hands .
