Re: 350 NH carburation
Many thanks for all your replies! Original suggestion was that it was probably a worn needle jet - replaced that with a new genuine Amal jet and the problem was sorted. Just been on a 40 mile run and on checking the plug on my return no soot and perfect colour!

Re: 350 NH carburation
Thanks Ralf and Simon,
I will order a new needle jet and needle and give this a try - would prefer to keep the carb original if possible!

It is running very rich at low throttle settings, sooting up the plug and misfiring if ridden in slow moving traffic. This is despite the throttle needle being se...

1958 350 NH Monobloc carb settings
Hi, hopefully this should be a simple one - although I have found the correct main jet, throttle valve size and needle position for the monobloc on my 350 NH I can’t seem to find what the pilot jet and needle jet sizes should be. Any help much appreciated!
Thanks, Alistair

Re: Jerky clutch - 350 NH
Many thanks for your replies - the slots on the clutch centre are certainly a bit worn so I’ll try filing them to smooth them. Think the clutch centre still has its stop tangs so that should be ok but will also check for any fouling of the clutch operating arm at the gear box end. Have wondered whet...

Jerky clutch - 350 NH
I recently acquired a1958 350 NH and on my first run out the clutch jammed in the disengaged position resulting in a ride home with the AA. I stripped down the clutch and found that the first plate in the basket was a cork one rather than plain as it should have been - think this may have jammed in ...
