For road use I want to use a small wireless trials speedo .... I'm concerned the speedo in clamp type is not the strongest from a stress point of view for off road use. It never seem to be apparent on any Ariel trail bikes.

Just had a chat with Draganfly they have 2 triple clamps in the secondhand spares section .. pt.no.s H2-51U AND H2-56U. Would either be a direct replacement for the "speedo in triple clamp" type currently fitted to my 58 Red Hunter ? If not, does anyone have any ideas on what would fit by ...

My idea of green lane riding is forestry tracks and loops and drove ways .....

I'm building a trail bike around my 57 Red Hunter frame, engine and gear box. I want to use Ariel parts where ever possible. The bike has the cast (?) upper triple clamp with cut out for speedo .... Is there an Ariel triple clamp I can replace the speedo type top clamp with that allows mounting for ...

I'm off to a great big autojumble tomorrow ... guess where .... I understand that the NH and VH pushrods are different lengths ..but otherwise the same, the DF website is great for pt.nos., but stall holders aren't ... I wondered if i could check by length ....?

What length are the VH pushrods ?

So to paraphrase;
I have a 1957 / 1958 VH Bottom end with bottom end matching 1957 / 1958 gearbox.
I have an iron / steel barrel which should be Alloy ( ? ) ........ or just could ... be alloy ??
I have a friend with a tube bending business , he will make a stainless exhaust pipe as required ...

If you want a superb exhaust ... Tube Engineers / Alldens at Market Rasen ... the best ...

There is a hole between the pushrods ( push rod tube required, swap for a NH one ) .. It has a screw in it.

Ariel Red Hunter 1959 ... alledgley .... loots like a bitsa to me.... Registration; XJJ 457 Engine Number CAM B 1891 Gearbox Number GB40 A59 D18 .. ?
