ariel leader side panel screws .
Hello can anyone tell me the correct thread size of the screws that hold the side panels in place , the threads require a tapping out as they contain paint and grime after all these years .

I have replaced the old Lucas rectifier with a solid state one and i now have a happy arrow with plenty of charge and no flat battery . thank you WILL CURRY for you help.

the bike is very original and is as left the factory at 6 volts , the rectifier is a Lucas component and is mounted in its original position .there has been no butchery of wiring or any thing added witch makes a refreshing change .

its a brand new battery ,holds charge when not connected ,the bike has been unused for a few years i am in the process of recommissioning the wiring harness is in very good condition and every thing functions .

Hello there
I am currently recommissioning a 63 Arrow that is in good order except there is no charge and the battery discharges overnight . Am i right in thinking the regulator is at fault ?

Thank you mick for the picture ,there is no sign of the forward part of the FERC so if it was originally fitted it was removed along time ago or as i believe it had just a smaller type chain guard .

I bought this vb600 with the intention of a full restoration ,it has spent the last 20 years in a shed but since i have got it home and given it a good clean its very original and only missing the chain guard so ideally a second hand one or i will have to suitably age the replacement .

i didn't realize the fully enclosed chain case was standard fitment in 1957 i believed it was a optional extra ,thank you for that information .
