So I think, fingers crossed, that I "with help" have resolved my problem. It was the battery! I did however have a moment with the engine having put the dreaded E10 in the tank, which I can categorically say it will not like.

I am using V-Power which is E5. I have put SAE 20 in the dashpot. A physical inability to try sliding the throttle slide without removing the carb. Why would the bike run fine and then stop running when idling is beyond me!
