This is my second Ariel rebuild. The last was 1975.
(It was an Arrow Isold on unfinished.)
My bike has lain fallow for 40 years and I was originally led to believe that it was an A10 with a badge.

Hi 1958 Ariel FH HCS engine On the drive side to the rear the engine has a mauled brass stump with an internal thread and an oil line pipe olive female shape projecting from the crankcase.which appears to be a breather pipe. Should this stump unscrew? Do I dill it out? It is obviously beyond use but...

Hi. I have an engine case set from 1958 but the crankshaft is a bolt up suggesting it is not the original or one I should use. The fit feels unhappy and snags on the casing when rotated. What is the best crank to use here? Will a large bearing crank fit or should I stick to safe. Original spec is fa...
