891 PMB - Leader?

Hi all. Just wondering if 891 PMB is in our club.

Friend has passed a pic on to me of the bike and his mum (pic attached). Looks like a Leader? His Dad bought it new, Cheshire area?

Would be great if it is still on the road. Any recent pics would be appreciated.

Thanks. Glyn.

Re: FH : Chain Oiler - making a mess..... Options?

Thanks Pete. That's put that headache to bed! My Ariel is a bit of a "bitsa". I'll stick to using some Spray can oil on the chain for now. Maybe put the "s" shape breather pipe back on if I am happier about the quantity of oil comming from the rubber breather pipe after I have do...

Re: FH : Chain Oiler - making a mess..... Options?

Thanks Chris, David. 5 mins then time out, I guess? The Chainguard is a standard "Draganfly" part. I guess I could attach a bit of rubber "flap" on the end to extend it? But it would just look wrong(lol!). I have removed the "S" shaped breather pipe, and replaced it wit...

Thanks Colin. Sorry, the picture orientation is a little confusing. Geoff at SRM has got back to me "It sounds as though the piston rings are still bedding in as combustion pressure passing the rings into the crankcase makes the breather work harder and this can take a bit of oil with it"....

Thanks Colin. Good point about all the oil draining to the bottom of the engine whalst not running. I guess it can apply whilst the engine is running but not being ridden and splashed about / scavinged back up at full pelt? Just taken my bike out for a 30 mile run, mixed A roads and Motorway sitting...

Hi all. Thanks Chris, Colin, Nev. Note taken about running my motorcycle as a stationary engine (!), thanks. Ok, had another play, considering your advice. 1: nice flow of oil going back to the top of the tank, and also the ends of the rocker oil feed pipe. 2: after 5 min tick over, I drained the su...

Wanted : FH rear brake rod end fittings.

Hi all.
I need a rod and end fittings which goes between the rear brake foot pedel stood and the bell crank, for an FH 1957, Full width hub. If not the full rod, then at least the eye end which goes on the pedel stood.

Thanks. Glynford (at) hotmail(dot) com.

Thanks for your help so far. This morning I let the bike tick over for 10 mins to get up to temp. On opening the throttle, there was an incease of oil from the breather pipe onto the chain, a lot more than the "vapour" as described above. Ok, so the oil is coming from the crankcase, so I d...
