My analysis for the 1933 model year suggests that zero Square Fours went to the USA that year, although 22 went to Canada, representing 5% of Square Four production that year.

If you have a spare slide with a greater cutaway, try that. Modern fuels seem to be requiring changes from standard carburation and richness of mixture at small throttle openings appears to be one of the problems, to me at least.

In my experience, these threads eventually suffer from rust and seize up. Freeing off from this may well be the cause of your problem. So make sure that the thread is suitably protected with copper grease or similar when you re-assemble.
