Re: VB600 colours

RS Motorbike Paint Ltd. list Deep Claret for the 1958 VB600 (no other years are listed). However they also list Brunswick Green for the 1954 Colt. I wonder if that green is somewhere near the shade(s) mentioned in this discussion? Thanks for the link David, very inspiring!

Re: VB600 colours

Cheers for the excellent picture, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I will investigate the green too as it could be a bit different. I already have a 1930 'Black Ariel' and would like to have a bit of colour!

VB600 colours

I am just starting a new renovation job on a 1952 VB600 and wondering what colour schemes (apart from black) are correct for the year?

Can anyone suggest a good source of accurate reference material/photos?

Cheers

Re: Possible nip up seizure

Thanks again for the advice. I took it out again today for a short 10 mile run with no issues at all so very happy. It might be of interest to some that my particular engine (my fathers originally) was rebored to +60 some time quite probably before the war as my father was not a motorcyclist and use...

Possible nip up seizure

Since I got my 1930 Model A on the road in the spring I have covered over 200 miles of wonderful, trouble free riding. However last week I had my first 'incident'. I was on the return leg of a 30 mile trip going up a long shallow hill when I lost power along with some significant clattering noises f...

Re: Singles oil pumps

Well that's pretty unanimous then! Small bore pump it is. I actually summoned the courage to go for a short (7 mile) trundle to test my old pump with my mate following as mobile smoke dectector and the results were very encouraging. The report from behind was an improving picture the further we went...

Re: Singles oil pumps

I have read this topic with interest as having just got my 1930 Model A on the road with a Morgo pump installed I have the smoking problems talked about. As I don't have the oil scraper ring it all makes sense. Months ago, when I was rebuilding the engine, I determined that the feed plunger was worn...
