Will keep you posted. That's exactly the bottom end I'm using. With an XT350 piston and pattern short stroke barrel and head.

Engine breathing
Are there any mods or points to bear in mind when building a 500cc short stroke regards letting it breath properly?
I've seen some picture of engines with breathers added to one of the rocker covers.

Barrel Studs
I need to add another barrel stud to my engine casing, the engine number is CJ. Can someone please tell me diameter and thread I need to tap to use a standard stud?

Rebuild - Spacer required?
I'm in the process of rebuilding the bottom end of the engine for my new trials bike. Can anyone recommend the best workshop manual for the 350cc singles?
I need to understand whether there is a spacer between the two bearing on the crankshaft drive side.
