So anyway, if it doesn't fit as is (and it probably won't), you will have to figure out how to retain the bulb in the socket. And put the bulb in the right way...

Didn't you find a bi-xenon bulb kit? That bulb has a cover, and it shifts (lifts up or down) when switching between hi/low beam.
