Re: Valve guide material

Thanks guys. Feked wasn’t on my radar, I don’t think I’ve used them before. I’ll just go with the bronze then. Chris at Autocycle Eng was trying to tell me that steel were getting used more now, maybe he was getting confused with iron heads ?
Cheers

Valve guide material

Hi, I’ve had no response to a shout for NH alloy head valve guides, so I’d better get some made.
Should I stick with bronze, or is steel better ?

NH Alloy head valve guide shortage

Hi all, I need new guides for my alloy head NH based trials bike. Neither Drags, Single Spares , or Alpha has any stock, and none in the pipeline . I could get some made or have a go myself, but before I do, does anyone have any that they’d sell ? It’s tough enough battling the Bantams, and rattly v...

Re: Selling Bikes, best methods.

If you need to share details with another eBay user, one cheat method is to use the facility to send a pic with the message. Take a snap of your phone number on a piece of paper and send that with your message. I did it last week purchasing a sailing dinghy and we then spoke ‘offline’. After I’d ins...

Bias Washer article in Cheval

Just to back up the feature in this months Cheval on bias washers, I bought one recently ( after a suggestion by Tony Cooper ) as a last resort to cure a richer mixture on one pot on a Monobloc’d Triumph twin. Initially I suspected a worn bore as there were a couple of scratches on it, but firstly n...

Re: AUCTION : Bonhams auction at the Stafford Show on October 15/16th

I bought one in 2020, and the 15% premium plus vat worked out at 18% - my winning bid was £6500, then £1170 in fees , so I paid £7670

Numbers query on 37 VH

Is it possible to have a genuine 37 VH , with an XF frame and CD engine ? CD is down as 38 in the charts I’m looking at, but I know there can be crossovers occasionally..
Thanks

Re: Is E5 petrol cheaper than E10? - perhaps

We were out riding near Cambridge in Gloucestershire on Sunday , and came across a small garage selling 4 star ! I only needed 3 litres to top up, good job as it was £2:30 a litre !
