good luck Rodney, I was with you on the Ariel Rally in South Aust and recall your issues. Hope you get it sorted so I can ask you for hints in the future.

The repro ones on the market now have the wrong shaped acorn nuts aswell as the centre nut! The threads on some of the studs is BSF not BA aswell. Also the small 4BA studs sh...

I bought a very tidy LS250. It did need a bit of extra tidying. It may substitute the Q box.

Re: flywheel balancing

Wanted: BAP Straight Kickstart Lever
Hi all, For a postwar BAP Burman, I’m looking for an undamaged, fixed pedal type, straight kickstart lever with good splines please if anyone can help. I will have a GB “cranked” type lever in perfect condition and re-chromed pending the outcome of a BA one above being available if anyone needs. Tha...

Re: 1928 Ariel some wood and some tape ..
Regarding alternate cranks, the issue you will likely have will be getting oil to flow to the big end. Dry sump cranks (29 onwards) have a quill tube (32 onwards??) directly receiving oil from the pump and inserted into the timing side stub shaft with galleries through the timing flywheel to the gud...
