Petrol tanks

Gents , My Huntmaster petrol tank managed to drain itself via the tap so nice and empty now , except for lots of fine rust particles. It is unlined with any chemical coverings. A friend had a similar problem put some clean washed and dried gravel in it and gave it a good shake about which did the tr...

Re: Huntmaster rear wheel

Thanks for the info on rear wheel removal. New tyre fitted. It did reveal bad wiring wrapped in gungy tape so redid all that. I did use Jap connectors as I have found these far superior to old prince of darkness bits.

Huntmaster rear wheel

Silly really , but need to change rear tyre on Huntmaster. Does the rear mudguard end come apart?. Not able to remove the brake drum separately to give more clearance. Laying the bike down is not an option. Full width ally hubs QD and Ferc.

Re: Headstock Lock

Mick , I will take another look at my headstock again and look for this new location of the grubscrew . New to Ariels . Now i have a dragging clutch having had the gearbox to bits due to a damaged mainshaft thread which i managed to restore. These huntmaster gear boxes and primaries seem to leak oil...

Headstock Lock

As no lock was fitted to the headstock on the Huntmaster I decided to get one from Draganfly along with the grub screw. The hole for the grubscrew was decidely "oversize " which meant that the lock would fall out. In the end i tapped the hole 10mm . I then cut down a 10mm bolt and tapped t...

Re: GB Gearbox

I have managed to reclaim the GB gearbox (GB6H52) mainshaft. Someone had liberally dot punched the end threads , The nut was totally U/S . A new nut from drags now fits and is a good tight fit. Rebuilt the gearbox this afternoon and it selects all gears. First time i have done one of these and quite...

Re: GB Gearbox

looks like i will be making a thread rolling tool. The end couple of threads have been dot punched by the look of it.
