Re: NH350 1954 Fork Top Plugs

Many thanks. Elsewhere In the forum I have read that PTFE tape can be used. Presumably the seal carrier can be partly unscrewed from the bottom leg. Does this need the special tool? I have the excellent detailed coloured sketch from the Forum showing the construction.

Re: NH350 1954 Fork Top Plugs

Thanks for that WIll. The procedure eased things a little. Topped-up the fork oil and have slight seepage (maybe overfilled?) so a strip down and seal replacement looks necessary which should resolve the problem. Thanks for reply, Jim.

NH350 1954 Fork Top Plugs

Recently checked the fork oil level. The plugs on the top of the forks seem excessively hard to undo and do up. Is something distorted or out of alignment?

Re: Battery Voltage Monitor

The description says 6 to 30 volts. I have checked on my variable voltage supply and it works down to 5.0 volts then cuts-off.

Re: Battery Voltage Monitor. Another Chinese Cracker?

Another ebay offering for £8. Useful for an easy fit check. Complete with on-off switch and long cable to tuck under tank and connect directly to the battery. Even has a fitted in-line fuse.

Re: Battery Voltage Monitor

Yes, very useful. I like to ride with headlights on and to avoid too much strain on the dynamo I fitted LED's all round (about 2 Amps total). I then fitted an AGM battery. These hate overcharging and I was getting near to 8 volts. When the Lucas regulator voltage was set in the garage (6.8-6.9 volts...

Re: Battery Voltage Monitor

Hi Johnny, I don't want to appear to be selling the device as I have no connection with the seller but to answer your points.... The light blinks green when voltage is OK. Consumption is said to be .5mA probably far less than the self-discharge rate the battery. Device automatically detects when bat...
