Gearbox casing aqua blasted, sure it has not been this clean since it left the factory in 1927. Before and after photo. My thanks goes to Ben Coffin Motorcross Services for the excellent work.

Dave, the photos of your bike are perfect. It's much as I thought that the rear Carbide light fitted to the number plate. The other interesting thing is the light/reflector between mudguard and rear rack. The photo of my bike back around 1930 shows the bracket but nothing in the hole. Is it just a r...

1927 Model C, D, E rear end photo

Hi all, has any one got a photo of 1927 black Ariel back end showing rear Carbide light next to number plate. I have photos of my bike (back in the day) but none of the rear end. Nothing in the Black Ariel book either.

Gearbox almost stripped, not bad for 92 years old. Next job to thoroughly clean all parts.
