Probably a worn needle jet.
However a Concentric will be a good choice.

Points carrier centre screw MO 1 Magneto
Hello,
for some reasons this centre screw is worn.
It would be very helpful if someone tells me the thread size.
Drags no 110730.
Not sure but it might be 8BA. Also don't know tpi.
I would prefer use a friends lathe than ask drags.
Many thanks - Ralf

Sorry again to use the forum for panther questions. Btw i own Ariels too.

Re: Monobloc cable elbow
Hello Will, its an other bike (panther, monobloc) problem, sorry for that. How would sound your analysis if a bike starts well but spits and pops when give it some revs. Rather carb or ignition. Realized a sticking float needle It got a Thorspark after endless Magneto trouble. Not quit sure about co...

Re: VH 500 Crank Case how to open
At last all work is done. Found someone close to my place in colone. The first phone call left me a bit in doubt. When i entered his Garage with 5 or 6 BSA all siamese, a vincent shadow on his working place almost finished another one somewhere in a corner, a bit dusty all doubts disappeared. He open...

Re: Half time pinion nut
Thank's for advise Nev. Maybe i used the wrong expression. Pretty sure i did compress the spring enough.(picture attached) Then i blocked the sprocket under the shock absorber unit against the sprocket under the clutch basket with a sufficient long piece of metal. So i could give the half time pinio...

Re: Half time pinion nut
Thanks a lot for all advises. And sorry for this litle confusion . I thought about heating up the pinion of course. However, during reassembling first time after rebuilding big end i forgot to consider the timing marks. Thats the reason for all hazzle. Me stupid. So will leave the primary case close...

Re: Half time pinion nut
Johnny, i did something similar. Told my son to sit on, put in the first gear and step on the rear break. Could tighten it till the clutch slipped. But the gap between the pinion and crank house is still a bit bigger than before. If this will be good enough? Thought about heating up the nut and do t...
