Re: Sq4 MkI - what now?!?

A friend had the same problem with an A10 recently; oil level dropped in the oil tank and increased in the sump. The problem was in the scavenge circuit. Very low (insufficient) oil flow returning to the tank; not much return flow visible out of the pipe in the oil tank. The problem was the riser tu...

Re: B-TH magdyno

I installed a BTH on a Super Rocket in 2008. I have hidden the coils under the "ski slope".
Very happy with the performance; easy starting and smooth running engine.

Hi Vincent,
What tube size (OD) were you looking for, and what quantity?

Re: 1 Inch tubing in the Netherlands

What John said.
Hydraulic tubing (CDS1010) comes in a number of gauges. Welds beautifully.

The heavier gauge you use, the easier it is to weld, and the stronger the frame.

Re: 1 Inch tubing in the Netherlands

CDS tubing (cold drawn seamless) is the tubing used throughout the fluid power (hydraulics) industry. The standard length for 1" tubing is 8 metres (or 6 metres) Contact your local hydraulics companies and you should be able to buy the length you want; i.e. if you need 3.5 metres they should be...

Re: Fieldmaster - crankshaft removal

It is essential that sealant is used on the sludge trap plugs, to retain the oil from the pump. Loctite 569 (hydraulic sealant) is suitable, but prepare the plugs and the crankshaft threads by spraying with Loctite "Primer T" (the "Active" catalyst to set the loctite quickly and ...

Re: Wanted: outer timing cover for 1957 VH

Hi Brian,
Thanks for making me aware of this cover.

However, the "Outer Timing Cover" (part no 2000-56) I need is the casting that the cover you found, bolts onto.

I need the cover that fastens to the RH crankcase half, and covers the camshaft.
Thanks,
Richard

Re: Modern fuels and ignition timing

Amongst my collection are quite a few A10's. I have dyno tuned eight of them, with the same result every time: For the cast iron head bikes, factory timing called for 32 degrees BTDC. Best results on the dyno were at 30 degrees BTDC. For the alloy head bikes (RR and SR's), factory specification is 3...

I think the Slovak Ariel club have what you need; I bought one from them for my 4G project, and it looks as though it will work.
