Ariel Pre War front mudguard
I have a front mudguard that I bought as being Ariel it seems to be for a 21" front wheel so I am told that this means that it is likely to be pre war. It is in good condition and at this time is in primer to stop it corroding. So this a good basis for a restoration. Price £50 + postage or avai...

Re: dynamo marking
Simon
Thank you for your response. I know that they will work with the casing round the wrong way but in trying to get everything as it was originally I am keen to at least get the arrow on the casing to match the direction it is spinning.
Thanks again

dynamo marking
In building up E3hm and E3L dynamos I have come to realise that the marking on the bodies are in different positions so my question is about what is the correct location for the text. The images on the web are contradictory. I believe that with the gear towards you the lettering should be the correc...

Re: VB exhaust pipe
The pipe does have the unsweetened to miss the main stand so may be it is the kick start which while it has an offset does not appear to be as much as that in Drags photo.

VB exhaust pipe
I have an exhaust pipe which is supposedly for a VB but it was not identified as being for or a swinging arm frame or for a plunger. The exhaust is only clamped at the head and at the silencer as it has no bracket to the front engine mount. As it fouls the kickstart on my swinging arm frame I suspec...

Re: New member looking for machine info
Welcome Norm Three years a go I was in a similar position to you with a 1959 NH in parts and while i had loads of knowledge about Triumph and BSAs, I had none about Ariels. Now with the NH complete and a VB approaching completion I can recommend you to Draganfly, John Budgen and Seb McIver. They and...
