Re: Leaky tank help needed

I have learnt to use a big piece of copper to which I have grafted a handle. It means that one can do very localised soldering, minimising the spread of heat. If it is a pinhole in the base of the tank, its usually very easy to fix. If its is possible to clean the area around the leak, it is likely ...

Re: Fork mods?

I ve been looking at the drawing and dont understand how the oil returns past the valve on re-bound, because the ball bearing seals the 1/8" hole at the bottom of the valve, and there appears to be no other route for the oil to pass through? I cant see that all the oil passes round the valve its...

Re: New Member, New Bike.

Thank you Roger. I will need to check the front brake for wear etc.
Can you advise on wear to the front forks? Do I simply get the front in the air then push/pull?
Or is it a strip and measure job?
What is the correct procedure?
THANKS.

Re: New Member, New Bike.

Thanks very much for replying.
Paul, the reg number is 45 CPU. I am going by the reg doc to get John Burtons whereabouts, so could be a bit vague.

How can I find Square Four members in my area? Is there a members list?

Re: Fork mods?

Hi rschurr
watching this thread with interest, as I am slowly working through servicing and checking over my new (to me) four piper.
Have you an update on the result of the correct oil level in the forks?
Thanks, Tom.
