Interesting thread yes I have a major oil leak at the bottom of the tubes, I puchased 4 from club and there is defiantly two size I am assuming the small ones fit at the top, unless anyone knows differently.

Yes it is my Bike, marked up in RAF markings as I am a member of a WW2 RAF living history group used the number from the Mitchell bomber photo as it a real tank number.
I have made ever effort to find out which unit it was with if I ever did it would get changed the user unit.

Hi,alternative cheep and cheerful but will do the job. Use some old army 58 pattern rear packs they have lots of straps to be able to fit to frame, added advantage they have 2 side pouches and straps to tie items onto the top of the packs. Cylinder bore on max dia with corresponding piston +060". Coned and fit new rings and oil seal compression back, but some 500 miles later losing compression. Carried out dimension check at max, now looking at re-sleeving back to orginal bore size with new piston etc. Can anyone reccommend where...
