Another point - it's easy to mislay the little spacer that goes on the float spindle after the float is fitted. This lets the float bind on the cover. I always throw those nylon needles away as far as possible. The brass ones with the Viton tips work much better.

That sounds very high. My premium with PJ is around £90 for the Norton (agreed value £6,000) and the Guzzi (agreed value £2,500).

I do believe that most of the brokers use Equity Red Star as the underwriters - PJ certainly do for mine.

Some of these were in their last auction but mustn't have sold.

I think Pugh's auctions are probably better for buyers than sellers.
