Please can anyone help me finish my restoration of 1947 NG? I have a choice of standard or +040 barrels and do not really want to use a JP piston - has any one got a suitable piston or advise where I can go for one Thanks Dave

I have the small oil pump fitted and this opens up another option which would be more readily avaliable as I have a new old stock standard barrel anyway.

Has anyone got any knowledge of the oil consumption and general paracticality of using a standard WNG 3 ring piston for normal use, any advice would be appreciated Thankyou

Thanks everyybody, I have today fitted a spare shaft 297 long from a VH gearbox (10mm shorter) together with cam shaft from same box so hopefully all will now be OK?
