Re: Misfiring and overheating NG 350

id go for fuel cap breather or lack of a hole in the cap . if you have an indian made fuel tank cap it wont have a breather hole in it , but needs one . you should have a small hole in centre of cap , its around 1.2mm diameter thats all , and you should be able to get some air through it . the origi...

Re: Insurance demand from dvla

hi mike ; its a bit of misinformation actually , you dont have to have a vehicle insured if its not on the road but it does need to be declared SORN whilst not insured and kept off road .. the dvla send out these letters to anyone who has taken new ownership of a vehicle and doesnt immediately tax a...

Re: Nh350

hi Pete ; i use brake cleaner in an aerosol but you can use petrol or panel wipe . when you have screwed the spring loading nuts back in , pull the clutch lever in and see how the cover plate moves on the outside of the clutch , it will probably come away skewed and it may need the nuts adjusting to...

Re: information on Ariel VH 500 from 1951

hi Paolo; if you have an indian made fuel tank cap you need to make sure it has a breather hole down its centre , the best way to explain it is to look at an original cap and then copy the hole . the hole goes down the centre of the knurled screw a short way until it turns 90 degrees and out the sid...

Re: Cheval and delivery to Europe

hi dave ; maybe if there is a problem that occurs with the cheval delivery charges we could subsidise any postal costs to overseas members who still want paper copies by covering this in our uk membership cost each year , seeing as we live here and costs to us are not the same . we could even allow ...

Re: Replacing center "brush" contact on Square 4 distributor

hi Paul; with most of the carbon brushes ive dealt with they have a tapered spring below them that grips in the socket it sits in and the spring grips the end of the brush spigot , when you put the spring and brush in you put both in at same time and rotate the brush as you do it . youll see that on...
