Re: Sq4 stopping after oly a short run.

Just a thought is there an insulating spacer on the carby to the head to prevent vapor lock? If it suppose to have one, then does it?

Cheers

Re: 51 mk1 sq4 throttle cable

Simon could you possibly measure the length of the section from the handle bars to the mid adjuster please.

Thanks

Re: 51 mk1 sq4 throttle cable

Thanks for the reply. The first thing I notice is the length of the outer cable from the centre adjuster to the handlebar is much longer that the one I bought from Draganfly which was the one recommended for a 51 mk1. I think if mine was that length (about 7" longer)it would be fine. Have a loo...

51 mk1 sq4 throttle cable

I have noticed my throttle cable appears to be a bit short. When on full turn of handlebars it seems to pull the throttle on a bit. Not a big issue when riding as not using full turn. The cable run is as short as at can be (i think). I run standard bars and the correct cable for the bike, it is a mi...

Re: Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

Thanks for the comfirmation of difficult to fit. I turned up a 5/16 bolt 1/8 longer to 1 3/8" and it worked ok. Maybe down the track when the rubbers compress a bit the origional bolts might engage.
Other option would be to shave the rubber down a bit. Resisting the urge to do that.

Re: Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

I have another issue. When I offer up the correct rubbers and washer to the rear mount I find the 1 1/4" bolt appears too short. Can someone measure the thickness of their rear frame mount. Mine is about .425. Basically the rubbers are .375 and .475 the frame is .425 thats 1.275 before adding t...

Re: Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

Good point about the sleeves. Don't happen to know the lengths do you so I can knock some up?

Re: Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

One should never over think things. The simple answer is the frame mounting lugs are different thicknesses. Therefore the rubbers are different thicknesses to compensate. Hence the thicker one at the front.

Re: Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

Thanks for that. I looked everwhere with no joy. Draganfly supplied all the correct bits but no info that I could find on what goes where. I wonder what the reason was, was it as simple as the petrol would pool at the end where the tap is or is it something with fitting the saddle seat?

Mk1 sq4 tank rubbers

A stupid question but I cant find the answer anywhere. My 51 mk1 has two different length tank mounting bolts and corresponding different rubbers to suit. What I cant find out is which go to the front tank mount and rear. The 4 thinner ones are bolt to frame but the frame to tank are the ones in que...
