Re: Selling Bikes, best methods.

Thanks for all the advice, all very sensible, I apologise for my delay in thanking all of you. A hint is, I'm now in the market for a new PC, at least the computer crashed, not me. I will take pictures and ask for offers on this site, as soon as my PC is repaired or renewed, using my wife's laptop a...

(Do not unload a couple of ton of sandstone and build a wall in your late 60s/early 70s) I will be selling the following bikes, all running perfectly whe...

Repro 8 day clock, where can I get one

Hi All I’m in discussion with my better half as to what I want for my birthday and I have decided my 1946 SQ4 also deserves a present so I’m after a Repro clock for the tank. The thing is I can remember reading about them on this site or the magazine and despite various searches on the blog cannot f...

Re:

SRM offer a cast alloy sump plate with a drain plug for the A10, which would be suitable for a Huntmaster. It is possible other manufacturers offer these, searching Ebay came up with another (different pattern) sump plate suitable for preunit BSA twins (and a Huntmaster). I'm sure a web search will...

Re: ANTI-WET SUMPING VALVE, STAINLESS

Well gents, thanks for all the advice, with pro’s and con’s, there is no way I could be trusted with a tap  and I do not fancy adding a device with a cut off micro switch/wiring, seems just another added electrical component to go wrong  . As they say you pays your money and takes your ch...

Re:

In my blog post 'spend a night in the box' there are some views of the kickstart stop. Hi Did your new kickstart stop peg, work ok I.E. no loud clanks etc when releasing the kickstart, or damage to the mechanism not having a buffer to hit rather than solid metal. I have to make a choice of doing so...
