The engine No suggests its 1910/11 as it is roughly 180 numbers earlier than my 2 1911 motors. The frame number suggests 1910 but may have been altered to a dropped frame at a later date. The mag and carb are later than 1910/11 but it does have its original 3 way handlebar lever which puts the motor...

Starting Huntmaster when cold

My 55 Huntmaster is hard to start cold, it takes a lot of tickling, half choke, a bit of throttle and at least a dozen kicks. When its warm, starts first kick every time. It has its original monoblock which Ive had apart and cleaned, put new main and pilot jets in as per manual and the needle is set...

1910-11 Ariels

Can anyone explain or show me, how the handlebar lever (with trigger) operates both the spring steel lever on the timing case (puts motor on to half compression, for starting) and the valve lifter. Any diagrams, photos or measurements would be much appreciated. Thanks John Hayman

Can someone please tell me the visual difference between a 1929 ohv model E and a model F, other than the handlebar fittings. Has the model F, a higher performing motor or are they both the same?
