Yes, I always use them and for no better reason than that's what Ariel did.
Valve spring cup washer, Halite, 580-34 and seemingly available from
Draganfly and possibly others too such as the spares scheme.

For what it's worth 375 monoblocs without the threaded inlet were fitted to Arrows and Leaders
with the 376 fitted to Sports Arrows.

Re: Dutch rally 2024
Thanks for the information and pictures. The front brake assembly from the Square 4 is clever design and well engineered. Do you know how the wheel spindle is arranged for the BSA brake? We had an attempt at that but the wheel spindle finished with a horrible step at one side which looked like a dis...

Re: Dutch rally 2024
Very interesting pictures. I particularly like the VB with the red tank, girder forks and BSA front
brake, very much a rider's bike I think.
The Mk1 Square in the background of the picture has an interesting front brake too.

Re: Alloy head
As far as I'm aware there was only ever one sort of alloy head for the 350 singles and that was fitted to the last series of engines fitted into the swinging arm frames. Re: wanted complete air filter assembly for a 1963 ariel arrow
If you go for one of the many pattern types available one thing to watch for is how far the attachment tube protrudes from the body of the cleaner. In the original it protrudes 5/8" and has a spring clip to clamp it onto the chassis. If the pattern part is smaller you may have trouble using the...

Re: getaway car
A 1500 Wolseley (I think) peps the Minor up considerably and much can be done with the steering, suspension and brakes too. In the late '60s there was a very quick split-screen Minor driving around Sheffield. The other Sheffield connection was that the then Sheffield and Rotherham Constabulary used ...
