Thank you Paul. As you say it looks correct from above, it was something I hadn't noticed before hence my question.

What tank was this originally?
Hi all, I have attached two photos of the underside of my W/NG tank, and am wondering if this is in fact an original W/NG tank or from another model. Does the Pat No. 215567 prove anything i.e date, model etc. If you look carefully you will see a hole in the centre which is blanked off! Correct or n...

Re: On the subject of Greasing points and Nipples
Of course you are quite correct Bob, and I would never advocate using the wrong thread type on anything structural. You could regard the nipples certainly as non structural and therefore in the absence of the right nipple the metric will fit well enough especially as there are only possibly a maximu...

Re: On the subject of Greasing points and Nipples
Incidentally an M6 x1 grease nipple is a practical alternative having the same TPI as 1/4" BSF and only slightly smaller O/D if BSF are not available.

On the subject of Greasing points and Nipples
Hi all On the subject of greasing points and nipples and I hope this might help some others in the future. This applies to my 1942 W/NG but may well be similar to others. Notwithstanding the fact that Zerk nipples would have been standard fitment I have decided to change mine for the "bull nose...

Re: Brake Back Plate
Hi Guys, All very interesting, so perhaps I have the wrong back plate (i.e. for a plunger) but if I bush the centre hole down to 0.750" that should allow me to use the Draganfly back plate nut in the correct position for a rigid back plate. Also explains why it looks factory and not machined ou...

Re: Brake Back Plate
Hi all, Update on the back plate hole size. I have it on good authority that it should be 0.75" dia, so the Draganfly back plate nut is correct. As I suggested as a possibility it looks like someone has opened the hole out to 0.870" dia which is why I had a discrepancy. Plan B will be to u...

Brake Back Plate
Hi all, Ok Gents, question time. Long shot, any idea what the dia should be for the centre hole in the W/NG brake back plate 4360-42 which sits on the shoulder of the brake plate lock nut 4380-30. The new part from Draganfly is 0.120" undersize so not useable. However it could be that the hole ...

Re: W/NG Rear Wheel and Brake Drum Setup
Thanks Roger,
Looking at Draganfly website it says bolt on fulcrum adjusters came in from 1942 which fits with the 1942 frame I have. Fortunately my shoes are in good condition. All stripped and cleaned up now. Mike

Re: W/NG Rear Wheel and Brake Drum Setup
Thanks everyone for the information, Update on the Rear Wheel Spindle saga. I spent a couple of hours stripping the hub and cleaning everything down so I could see what I needed to order. In the end looking at all the parts I had it was the two spindle bushes n/s, plus wheel bearing abutment nut n/s...
