Do you know Ian Austin, who is doing a similar thing, I have some pictures but it shows flanged carbs, think it was a works replica for Miller or Sandford.

Thanks; I coudnt determine or see any dot despite looking, think I need to get back inside and have another look, its not an easy starter.

It appears there are three optional keyways; when i removed the cover the gear fell out so what is the best keyway to use and why?

I was thinking it might stop oil seepage rather than breather?Knud.Degnbol wrote:You don't need it. If your 28 is like mine, you have 2 breathers from the engine. One of them blows air with oil in it onto the rear chain. The other on the primary chain. In 10 years I have hardly had to adjust the chain.

Try Stanwood Engineering at Bawtry, currently working on my Model C barrel and piston, done some of my mates twin cranks all good no problem. Look em up on net they are on Church St.

I can clearly get into the members forum to post but the box to get into the members area doesn't work, there was a post early where it was suggested to use the link posted and ask for a reminder, but I though we all had the same login to the area. My magazine is in garage, has the two login details...
