Re: Fake HS?

Yes. Plenty of empty areas with no-one even close. Luckily staying on west coast and not next to the eastern border...

Re: Fake HS?

Thank you. Was seeing from another similar discussion that A7-3003 casting mark refers to VH/HT. Super sportcam said to be in the engine. I'd mostly use the bike on road, but plenty of gravel / forest roads available here too. Maybe with the non-silenser I also should stay in remote areas 😄.

Re: Fake HS?

Frame still from standard roadster as code is plain DU, not DUH?
Cylinder appears to be VH, so then cylinder head as well. Seller says the bike has the "hot" cam. Is that possible with HS block + VH cylinder combo?

Re: Fake HS?

Please see the photos about numbering etc. Should tell quite a bit about the combo.

Fake HS?

Hello fellow Arielists. A gentleman is locally offering a bike for sale in Finland, which very much looks like a 1955 HS model. The bike was completed/built in Sweden around 15 years ago and the next owner practically left it in the garage unused. Was traded to Finland about 2 years ago and again no...

Re: WANTED: Outer primary chaincase, SQ4 MK II

Thanks for the comment. I might have a chance to have the cover 3D scanned for future purposes. Either to 3D print a new one or machined from a billet by using the CAD model.

Re: WANTED: Outer primary chaincase, SQ4 MK II

Hi, Thanks for the response. This cover is interesting piece, but lack of holes is major drawback. Got my shock spring out and it was in 4 pieces. Pure fatigue of metal I suspect. There are no other things wrong or out of tolerance. I'll keep looking and possibly make a temporary fix to my existing ...

WANTED: Outer primary chaincase, SQ4 MK II

Hello,

Shock absorber spring broke and made a crack onto outer chaincase. Luckily that happened at idling speed and saved me from total destruction. Would like to replace the outer case with a proper used one, rather than using chemical metal etc. Open for offers. 1953 SQ4 MK II.

Regards,
Seppo

1955 Huntmaster with HCS engine

Just spotted a 1955 Huntmaster for sale with correct "LF xxxx" engine number and HCS lettering below the engine number. The bike has been exported to South America as new and has "Western style" high handlebars & half width front brake drum and swinging arm rear. I know the H...

Re: Re Electronic Ignition for squ 4's problem

Bernie. One unbeatable benefit from having the 12V system is the ability to drive in the dark with a powerful H4 headlight (if you wish). When I had my old 6V configuration, I was constantly having problems with electric shortage in city speeds. With lights on the ignition would be starving and engi...
