For Sale: 1928 Ariel Model B

Having bought a rather nice '27 Model E two weeks ago, I've decided that I don't need my '28 Model B. I've been restoring this bike over the last 6 months and it's almost finished, but not quite...so this is a project for someone to finish. I decided to assemble it to demonstrate how close to finish...

I know Simon, and its actually closer to 10 years as the auction was in July 2011. Scary how time slips by without you really noticin...

Re: My 4G Restoration Blog

An update. After today's run, I've now done a total of 315 miles on the 4G and all seems to be well..better than I expected if I'm honest. For the last 80 miles, I've been running it on Halfords Classic 20/50 oil, same as my '48 KG which also has shell bearings and a cartridge filter --- both bikes ...

FS: Ariel 1948 KG 500

The third and final Ariel that I'm selling. 1948 KG 500. The first year of Ariel's new twin. And this bike has all those unique 1948/9 features like the "ARIEL TWIN" timing cover, the shaped / contoured Lucas dynamo, early crankshaft & cases, CP gearbox ('48 only), poor turning circle ...

Re: Dragonfly clutch plates

I'm going to buck the trend and speak out in favour of bonded plates. On a couple of bikes, one an Ariel 4F and the other a Matchless Silver Hawk, I have lost all clutch lever control due to cork plates getting too hot in heavy town traffic. This happened about 20 years ago --- in fact, the only rea...
