Thanks Knud, that is something I may consider but I live in hope that I'll find an original which someone no longer wants.

WANTED, '27 Front Hub or even a complete wheel

I'd like to try a 21 inch front wheel in my '27 ohv so need anything from a bare hub to a complete wheel.
A long shot I know, but can anyone help please? Guaranteed to go on an active bike.

I'd certainly use a seal to keep water and muck out; a rubber sealed main bearing would help too. You could remove the inner seal on the bearing to allow oil in to it if you choose. Add breathers elsewhere if necessary to allow escape of excess pressure. Even if you can seal up the primary chaincase...

I agree with Dave. Ray Daniels has done two sets for me (not Ariels) neither of which was bushed originally but this didn't seem to be a problem. He made bushes and new spindles quickly, good standard of work and to the agreed price. Can't really say better than that
