Re: 1929 Channel Crossing re-enactment

Thanks John for the advice. Luckily I do have a CEVNI licence which permits me to use a power boat on European waterways (Lake Como) but no doubt this will be a job for El Presidente Ariel. As to crossing the channel, the British authorities have always deemed that we have sufficient of Admiral Nels...

Re: value of post war rigid single frame

Thanks Dave...very helpful...not! But maybe I am fault for the unclear wording of my post, what I really want to know is: What would be a fair price to ask for a good condition post war rigid single frame that someone wants to buy from me?!!!!!

Re: 1929 Channel Crossing re-enactment - progress report

The pontoons are now in Saronno Italy with Ariel Atzori, he and his team are fitting the framework to carry the bike plus propeller and rudders. The project is partly funded by me, partly by Draganfly Motorcycles plus of course the Italian Club (Ariel Atzori). It beats working for a living.

1929 Channel Crossing re-enactment

There is a plan afoot to re-enact the above, it is being led by 'President' Ariel and he plans a 'starter for ten' with Lake Como in May 2019. I have built the pontoon floats but they need to get down to Saronno in Italy to be fitted with prop shaft and rudders. Is there anyone who is going to the A...

Re: FOR SALE : Very nice 38 VB

Hi Dave Just a quick few points while I think of it. The bike is very low mileage and the engine cases had never been split when it came to me...they still have not been split but I did give her a re-bore with new piston. The primary inspection cap had corroded so I had to take apart the primary sid...

Re: FOR SALE : Very nice 38 VB

Hi Dave This was my VB that I sold a few months ago and the purchaser appears to have just sold it on with a bit of mark up. I had it for about fifteen years and know all the history from when purchased new. I gave all the provenance paperwork to the purchaser and hope he has passed it on to you. I ...

Re: 1930 Mod B for sale

Hi Klaus
You may have forgotten but this bike is still on the DVLA 'puter on a SORN...the point is that there should be no difficulties putting it on the road in UK should someone in Her Majesty's realm wants to buy it.

Re: VHA 1952

This is indeed Lynne's VHA and Neville maybe could have recognised it from the Australian Ariel rally in Tamworth NSW in 2015. From the other posts, you guys appear to know more about the VHA then me (or Lynne for that matter!). She only used the VHA for the 'round the world via the colonies' trip a...
