I had this problem too. One other thing you might want to look at is the position of the float bowl relative to the body of the carb - there is more information on this post http://forum.arielownersmcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=8313

They are listed in the "Price List of Spare Parts for the 650cc Twin Cylinder Huntmaster" Published January 1954 - Page 32 - A PDF copy is on the owners club web site.
To my knowledge this is the only parts list in which they are shown.
