Re: 1937ish RH in the Netherlands

Could be immediate post war tank. I saw a VH and a 4G with similar lack of badge bar in Germany recently, both were 1946 machines

Re: Mystery cam

I am sure that it has been ground down from a standard cam, I have never seen a std cam like that. All the trials bikes used the std road cam.

Re: My 1955 Ariel VB 600. One previous owner.

There were 1367 VBs made in 1955, 41 are on the register with the correct but not necessarily the original engine and a further 30 with an incorrect prefixed engine. Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C

If stainless is warmed up by polishing or in an oven it will go a nickle colour. I sincerely hope they are 1". Stainless saves the cost and time of plating, which is not cheap these days. I expect that if you wanted a bare steel one they would make you one.

Re: Singles oil pumps

My single has always used a reconditioned original plunger pump, apart from a brief dalliance with a Triumph pump, 48,000 miles in 20 years. Currently using a Hawker pump as a long term test.

Re: Petrol tank taps

I use the BAP taps, not very original but cheap and work. A 1/4 x 3/8 adapter will be needed.

Re: Ariel electronic ignitions

Yes, see Draganfly, who may well be interested in stocking your ignition system if you are interested in making them. The gears are 220609 and 220610, only one in stock but as they have just made one of the simplex ones the missing one is probably in the pipe line. Bruce of SQ4 club spares used to h...
