KH Starting problems
My 1955 KH has suddenly become a non-starter. I've checked the ignition timing and it is set correctly. There is a very good spark from the recently reconditioned magneto and the plugs are new. The pilot jet is clear and the float and tickler seem to working properly. It just will not start. Both pl...

1955 Rear Brake Cable Length
Does anyone know the correct length of rear brake cable for a 1955 KH? I have bought a Cable from Draganfly but this seems to be too long. There is a lot of pedal travel (much more than my later VH and FH with the FWH) and I can only describe the overall feel as 'sloppy'. The cable adjuster is at th...

Hi Brenton, I'm not sure about the Draganfly comments about adding a shim. It seems that this would have to go between the crankshaft bearing and the engine shock absorber sleeve. I am concerned that if I get enough clearance for the oil seal to fit with the current sprocket that the chain alignment...

Hi Brenton, Thanks for the information. I now know how the oil seal should fit..........only it doesn't!. The engine sprocket I bought from Draganfly has a flat back and having had the project inspected by the club to get an age-related number, I have been advised that the sprocket should have a rec...

KH Oil pipes / Crankcase connections
Yet another potentially obvious question!! My KH rebuild is progressing well. I am looking to connect the oil pipes to the crankcase ready for the initial fire up. Thing is, as I have no experience of this model I do not know which connection goes where. Can anyone confirm which connection on the cr...

KH500 Crankshaft Oil Seal / Engine Shock Absorber
How does the oil seal that goes on the crankshaft before the engine shock absorber sleeve actually fit? It's diameter is much larger than the crank. I assume the spring on the outside is supposed to hold it some how but what does it hold the seal to? Apologies for what may seem a simple question. I ...

For Sale : 1957 VH500
I am looking to sell my VH500 to someone who will use it as it should be used. Owned by me for 12 1/2 years it has hardly been used in the last 3 years due to my discovery of Ariel Twins. As my KH project nears completion I know it will get even less use. The bike is in good 'used' condition. You co...

Jim,
I have an incomplete half width hub rear wheel (without brake plate, sprocket and spindle) available if you still want one.
