I would like to repair this Smiths Chronometric Speedo. Is it worth to try by myself? Any advices on how to do it? At least two gears are totally broken (see missing teeth on the 1st photo).

Thanks for the picture, Ray I've got some leftovers of 5mm steel plates. Slightly more than 3/16" therefore it should work.
