Chap on ebay is trying to trace the current owner of the above 1956 bike. He has all the original paperwork that he inherited from the now departed previous owner. Any information would be appreciated. I have searched the reg and it comes up as a BMW 320D so I am not holding out much hope, but ya ne...

Re: New member with an FH
Steve, Paul,
Thanks to both of you. I'll check the gasket and if there are any signs that it
has failed I'll get a copper one.
300 in/lb is only about 34Nm, so thats what I'll work to.

Re: New member with an FH
Steve, I fitted a new carbon fibre head gasket not long ago, I am about due to tighten the head down again, if only I could find a torque setting other than 'tight', the may as well say ' three white knuckes' :) The thing that makes me think it's the valves is that she smokes straight away, as if oi...

Re: New member with an FH
So, for my own info more than anythin else, over the last week I have finished the pipe work for the oil tank, refitted the air filter, and soldered proper bullet connectors on both sides of the rear tail light loom. No more crimped spades for me. I think I have now got enough primer on the rear sec...

Re: Rocker arm help
Off on a very bizzar tanget, but hear me out. There are companies out there that are regularly casting parts for flintlock pistols, many of which are made from hardened steel (fritzens cor example) they are very approachable and if you can get a casting from one of your originals it should be a simp...
